Terms and Conditions

  • The decision of the Joe Pundit judging panel is final.
  • Entries can only be made through the joepundit.com website.
  • Contestants must be 18 or over to play.
  • Closing date for entries is 11am on Saturday 11th August 2007.
  • Entry fee is £5.
  • You are responsible for entering your predictions on a weekly basis. Predictions must be entered by 11am on the Saturday morning proceeding that week’s fixtures.
  • In the event of you failing to enter your predictions, a set of scorelines will be randomly generated for you.  However, please note that this will typically ensure you score less points than if you enter your own predictions.
  • In the event of postponed or abandoned matches, the Joe Pundit judging panel will declare the fixture null and void on that week’s coupon.  The fixture will then be included on a subsequent week’s coupon when it has been rescheduled, wherever possible.
  • Whilst we will always try to accommodate those fixtures that have been postponed or abandoned, there may be occasions when this is not possible.  The judging panel will use their discretion on a match-by-match basis.
  • The round of fixtures scheduled for 29th December 2007 and 1st January 2008 will NOT be included in the game.  All other rounds, from August through to the end of the season in May, are scheduled to be included.
  • Results will be based strictly on those determined by the FA Premier League.  This includes any rare situation when the League may determine the result of a match due to an abandonment or a “no-show” from a team.  Again, the judging panel will use their dicretion on a match-by-match basis in these situations.
  • The overall prize fund amounts to 85%* of the takings generated through entry fees.#
  • The overall prize fund is broken down into the following individual prizes:
    1st place - 60%
    2nd place - 20%
    3rd place - 10%
    4th place - 7%
    5th place - 3%
  • Where two or more contestants tie on the same number of points at the end of the competition, a tie-breaker will apply to determine who wins the prize money.
  • The tie-breaker will be based on who has achieved the highest points total for any week throughout the season.
  • If after the tie-breaker two or more contestants can still not be separated, the prize pool will be shared.  For example, if two contestants tie for first place they will split the total prize fund for 1st and 2nd place equally.  Therefore, each would win 40% of the overall prize fund.
  • Prize winners will be informed by email within 24 hours of the final round of matches being completed in May 2008.  Prizes will be paid in full by cheque within 10 days.
  • All information you provide us with whilst registering to play the game will be confidential.  We will not share any information with third parties.
We may from time to time contact you by email with news relating to the game or subsequent promotions.

*We have tried to keep this figure as high and as fair as possible.  However, please be aware that Paypal take the first 7.5% of the entry fee and we have other associated costs to cover, such as our gambling licence and website development.

#This figure is not inclusive of any money we return to our fundraising partners.  For details of fundraising opportunities through Joe Pundit, please click here.
